In 2009, Chris had a vision—to create a business dedicated to helping people in his community. What began as a local appliance and television shop, originally known as Bridge City T.V. & Appliance, quickly grew into something more. Recognizing an opportunity to better serve his customers, Chris expanded the store’s offerings to include high-quality mattresses.

After five years of hard work and dedication, the business relocated to downtown Ottumwa. With the added space came new possibilities, and soon the store began offering beautiful, quality furniture as well. This move marked the beginning of Bridge City Home Store & Mattress as we know it today—a trusted, locally owned destination for appliances, furniture, and mattresses.
